Responsibilities
- Deliver coordinated nursing care for a patient or an assigned group of patients according to established standards of care and the nursing process.
- Assess patient conditions, develop and implement care plans, and evaluate outcomes.
- Supervise and direct activities of various levels of assigned nursing staff; coordinate care with other disciplines.
- Apply critical thinking, professional judgment, and independent decision-making in patient care.
- Monitor telemetry and respond to changes in patient status; document care accurately and thoroughly.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes and educate patients and families as appropriate.
Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse license in California
- Telemetry/acute care nursing experience; travel experience preferred
- Ability to work 3x12-hour day shifts in a travel assignment (36 hours per week)
- Strong communication, teamwork, and patient-care coordination skills
- Demonstrated ability to supervise nursing staff and maintain patient safety
- Commitment to maintaining patient privacy and compliance with policies
