Responsibilities
- Provide leadership and clinical oversight for patient care on assigned units, ensuring safe, evidence-based practice
- Supervise nursing staff and coordinate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to plan and implement care
- Monitor patient conditions, escalate changes promptly, and manage admissions, transfers, and discharges
- Ensure accurate documentation, regulatory compliance, and achievement of quality metrics
- Facilitate staffing decisions, participate in rounds, and conduct thorough shift handoffs
- Respond to emergencies and coordinate with on-call physicians as needed
Requirements
- Active Hawaii Registered Nurse license prior to start
- Ability to work 40 hours per week with rotating shifts; must be able to work consecutive weekends as needed
- Availability for a 13-week travel assignment
- Ability to work in a hospital setting with adherence to safety and credentialing requirements
- Compliance with holiday billing guidance
