Travel Registered Nurse Med Surg Job
Registered Nurse – Med Surg, Hermiston, Oregon. This travel assignment begins 05/12/2026 and runs for 13 weeks in a critical access hospital setting. The position offers a weekly pay range of $2,267 to $2,344 and guarantees 36 hours per week. Shifts are 3x12-hour nights. This Med-Surg RN role focuses on direct patient care for adult surgical patients across the perioperative continuum and requires collaboration with interdisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities
- Provide direct, individualized nursing care for adult patients before and after surgical procedures in a Med-Surg setting
- Assess patient conditions, monitor vital signs, administer medications, and respond quickly to changes in condition or treatment response
- Initiate the computerized Plan of Care on admission and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to support optimal outcomes
- Perform general nursing duties in assigned departments under appropriate supervision; ensure patient safety and accurate documentation
- Maintain patient confidentiality, demonstrate empathy, and communicate effectively with patients and families from diverse backgrounds
- If needed, float to other departments within the scope of practice to meet patient care needs
Requirements
- Education: Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing
- Licenses/ certifications: Current RN license in Oregon; BLS, ACLS, and PALS required
- Certifications: CMSRN preferred
- Experience: Preferred previous Medical-Surgical nursing experience
- Additional: Ability to work in a fast-paced hospital Med-Surg environment; agency nurses may be floated to other departments as needed
- CRASE training: Preferred; if the travel assignment extends beyond six months, CRASE training will be required
