Responsibilities
- Perform CT imaging procedures with attention to safety, image quality, and diagnostic requirements.
- Position patients, select appropriate protocols, and operate CT scanner controls to optimize imaging.
- Administer contrast media per protocol and monitor patient response, coordinating with radiologists as needed.
- Follow radiation safety principles and ALARA guidelines; ensure proper shielding and dose optimization.
- Verify patient information and orders, document procedures, and ensure accurate image labeling and archiving.
- Maintain clean, organized work environment; communicate with team members and support staff to ensure smooth workflow.
Requirements
- Current ARRT certification in CT (R.T. (R)(CT) or ARRT with CT specialty); CT Advanced Certification required (required in OR and HI; preferred in CA).
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Fluoroscopy license: preferred in CA and OR.
- Venipuncture certification: preferred in CA and OR.
- Ability to work a travel assignment in The Dalles, OR and to operate 4x10 day shifts; ability to meet credentialing requirements and adapt to a short-term acute care setting.
