Responsibilities
- Provide direct bedside nursing care for adult patients in a high-acuity step-down unit, including monitoring and response to dynamic clinical changes
- Troubleshoot ventilator alarms and collaborate with Respiratory Therapy on ventilator management; assist with airway care as needed
- Titrate vasopressors and insulin drips per established protocols; monitor hemodynamics and glucose control
- Manage invasive lines (arterial and central lines) and devices (e.g., chest tubes, external pacemakers as applicable); document findings and interventions
- Recognize and respond to dysrhythmias; initiate appropriate interventions per policy; participate in rapid response when required
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team, participate in rounds, and ensure thorough documentation in the electronic medical record (EPIC)

Requirements
- Active RN license in Missouri or eligibility; pending license accepted for submission per compliance notes
- Minimum 2 years RN experience with bedside practice in the last 6 months; high-acuity step-down, PCU/IMC, or post-ICU experience required
- Trauma Level II experience required
- Required clinical experience: ventilator patients, titration of vasopressors, insulin drips
- Certifications: ACLS, BLS/BCLS, NIHSS
- Travel experience required; orientation provided; ability to float within service line to lower-acuity floors or affiliate hospitals
- Shift availability for nights; ability to work in a high-acuity setting with complex patient populations
