Responsibilities
- Perform CVIS and radiology tech duties across hospital units as needed, including ED, ICU, Cath Lab, D1 (MS/Tele), and Urgent Care.
- Acquire, process, and review cardiovascular and radiology images; maintain image quality and correct labeling for interpretation.
- Complete EKG testing and related assessments; document results in the electronic charting system and ensure accuracy.
- Utilize EPIC for patient charting and documentation; collaborate with physicians, nurses, and technologists to ensure safe, efficient patient throughput.
- Float within the hospital according to unit needs and your skill set; respond to call requirements (9–10 days per month) when applicable.
- Maintain infection control and safety practices; verify patient identity and prepare appropriate dispositions for imaging procedures.
Requirements
- ARRT certification required
- New York State license required at time of submission; Radiology Techs must have a permanent NY license in hand prior to start; temporary licenses not accepted
- Alternate: NY license not required if candidate holds CCI credentials
- Minimum 2 years CVIS/Radiology Tech experience
- EKG competency required (Relias testing; on-site testing). Complete Relias EKG exam within 72 hours of signing and achieve required score
- Onsite EKG exam minimum pass threshold: 85% and must identify critical rhythms
- EPIC charting experience required
- Healthstream/orientation modules must be completed by the stated deadline (roughly 10–12 hours; non-billable)
- Compliance: local radius rule excludes permanent addresses within 50 miles of the work site; references and current certifications required
- Submission materials: NY State license at submission, recent Nursys (when applicable), certifications, and references
