- Experience emphasis: 2 years of L&D RN experience and OR circulator experience; CNM experience will not be considered
Responsibilities
- Provide direct obstetric care in the labor and delivery unit, supporting labor, delivery, and immediate postpartum processes
- Monitor maternal and fetal well-being, interpret telemetry, respond to changes, and document findings in the electronic health record (EPIC)
- Administer medications and support pain management and perioperative needs as appropriate; assist with procedures and sterile technique
- Collaborate with obstetricians, anesthesia, neonatal staff, and OR teams to ensure patient safety and coordinated care
- Support high-risk obstetrics cases, including patient assessment, monitoring, and escalation as needed
- Participate in handoffs, provide patient education, and ensure accurate charting and adherence to unit policies
Requirements
- 2 recent years of L&D RN experience and OR circulator experience
- Ability to independently read and interpret telemetry strips; Day 1 telemetry test at 85%+ required
- EPIC electronic health record experience
- BLS and NRP certifications required; copies must be provided; all NRP lessons must be completed and not expire during the assignment
- Travel experience required
- CNM experience not considered
- Evidence of ongoing commitment to safe obstetric care and ability to work in a high-volume, fast-paced unit
