MRI Technologist – MRI, Seaside, OR, United States. Travel assignment starting 06/01/2026 for weeks in a 23-bed critical access hospital imaging unit. Responsibilities
- Perform MRI examinations using GE MRI systems, including patient prep and positioning, to obtain high-quality diagnostic images
- Safely operate equipment and monitor patients throughout imaging procedures; screen for contraindications and follow safety protocols
- Acquire comprehensive neuro and body imaging (brain, spine, abdomen, chest, breast, face/soft tissue neck) with appropriate sequences (diffusion, gradient echo, perfusion)
- Conduct image post-processing (ADC mapping, subtraction) and multiplanar reconstruction; ensure accurate labeling and PACS export
- Document procedures and results in the Epic charting system; collaborate with radiologists and other team members to support accurate interpretation
- Maintain equipment and housekeeping standards; participate in quality control and safety initiatives
- Adhere to block schedule, patient flow, and unit policies; communicate scheduling needs and any changes with the team

Requirements
- Minimum 1 year MRI experience
- GE MRI vendor experience required; familiarity with Philips, Siemens, Toshiba beneficial
- Core MRI skills: neuro and body imaging (brain, spine including cervical/lumbar/thoracic; abdomen; chest; breast; face/soft tissue neck); key sequences: diffusion, gradient echo, perfusion; image post-processing (ADC mapping, subtraction); PACS experience
- Epic EHR charting required
- BLS certification required
- Two references covering 1 year within the last 3 years required
- Pre-start modules: ~16 hours (completed pre-start; >20 hours requires approval)
- Must have a vehicle for this assignment; parking no fee
- Scheduling: Block schedule in place; Monday–Thursday; 7:00 AM–5:30 PM
- On-call: No; Weekends: No
- Holidays: Must commit to working 3 of the 5 holidays listed (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year’s Eve, New Year’s Day)
- Travel-and onboarding notes: RTO/scheduling requests should be submitted upfront; COVID-19 vaccine not required
