Travel Registered Nurse ER Job

Responsibilities
- Deliver coordinated nursing care for an assigned group of patients following established standards, the nursing process, and clinical protocols.
- Assess patient condition, implement plans of care, monitor responses to treatment, and document outcomes accurately.
- Administer medications and treatments as ordered, monitor for adverse effects, and escalate concerns per policy.
- Supervise and direct activities of various levels of nursing staff, coordinating care with other disciplines to ensure safe, quality outcomes.
- Communicate with patients and families to provide education, support discharge planning, and promote continuity of care.
- Utilize critical thinking and professional judgment to prioritize care, delegate appropriately, and maintain patient safety.
Requirements
- Active RN license in California (or a compact license that is eligible for assignment in California)
- Minimum 1 year of ER nursing experience; travel experience preferred
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; ACLS certification or training preferred
- Ability to work 12-hour shifts and adapt to a fast-paced ER environment
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program (ADN or BSN)
- Demonstrated ability to work in a home-based care/hospice setting and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
