X-ray Technician (Radiology) – Travel assignment in Atlanta, GA. Start date: 04/27/2026 for a 13-week engagement with a guaranteed 40 hours per week. Shift: Monday–Friday, 7:00 am–3:30 pm. Responsibilities
- Perform radiographic imaging procedures (X-ray) using digital radiography equipment, ensuring proper patient positioning and exposure factors.
- Verify patient identity and orders, follow established imaging protocols, and apply radiation safety practices for patients and staff.
- Review images for technical quality, adjust positioning or exposure as needed, and transmit studies to the PACS per department standards.
- Assist technologists and radiologists with procedures, support patient comfort, and provide clear instructions to patients regarding exam steps.
- Maintain clean and organized workspaces, follow infection control procedures, and perform routine equipment upkeep and basic troubleshooting.
- Document procedures accurately, ensure correct patient labeling, and comply with all regulatory and safety requirements.
Requirements
- Certification: ARRT certification in Radiography (R) required
- Certification: AHA BLS for healthcare providers required
- Experience: Minimum 2 years of radiology experience in a clinical setting
- Eligibility: Ability to work in a fast-paced radiology department
- Location restrictions: No local candidates within 50 miles
