Travel Registered Nurse OR Job
Registered Nurse – Operating Room (OR) in San Luis Obispo, CA. Start date 08/03/2026 for a 13-week travel assignment. Weekly pay range $526-$561 per week, with guaranteed hours of 40 per week. Shift: 16-hour day shifts in a short-term acute care hospital setting.

Responsibilities
- Circulate in the Operating Room during surgical procedures and assist surgeons and anesthesiologists
- Coordinate flow of equipment, supplies, and staff; ensure patient safety throughout the perioperative phase
- Prepare patients for surgery, including safe positioning; participate in pre-, intra-, and post-procedure care planning and assessment
- Uphold aseptic technique; safely handle and dispose of biohazardous materials; operate routine OR equipment
- Document care and retrieve pertinent information from facility information systems as needed
- Support emergency readiness and respond to emergent patient needs; assist with turnover and room readiness
- Participate in on-call duties as required; call obligations include at least one night per week and one weekend per schedule, with potential for more based on need
Requirements
- Active RN license in the state of practice (California)
- Education: Associate Degree in Nursing required; Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred
- Experience: Minimum one year of full-time operating room experience; orthopedics, neurosurgery, and trauma experience required
- Certifications: Current BLS, PALS, and ACLS required; CNOR certification preferred
- Ability to work in a high-acuity OR setting and to participate in rotating schedules and call
- Knowledge of aseptic technique and safe handling of surgical equipment and biohazard materials
