Responsibilities
- Administer prescribed medications and treatments to residents per order, documenting administration accurately.
- Monitor residents’ condition, report changes to the supervising RN, and respond to emergent needs promptly.
- Assist with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, mobility) while maintaining safety, dignity, and privacy.
- Perform routine nursing duties such as vital signs, wound care, injections, and basic clinical procedures as directed.
- Document in the electronic health record, ensuring timely and accurate charting of care provided.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to update care plans and communicate changes in resident status.
Requirements
- Active LPN license in New Mexico or eligibility to obtain licensure.
- Graduate of an accredited practical nursing program.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required.
- Experience in a long-term care setting preferred.
- Ability to work 12-hour shifts and participate in a travel assignment.
- Strong communication, documentation, and teamwork skills; comfortable caring for an older adult population.
