Responsibilities
- Provide PTA services under supervision, including therapeutic exercise, range of motion, gait training, and assistive modalities as directed by the supervising PT.
- Implement treatment plans and document resident progress in charting according to facility policy and regulatory standards.
- Assist with PT evaluations, assist in plan-of-care development, and communicate progress or concerns to the supervising PT.
- Support residents with mobility, transfers, ADLs, and functional training to promote independence and safe community re-entry.
- Collaborate with nursing and therapy teams to ensure safe, patient-centered care and adherence to infection control and safety protocols.
- Maintain accurate documentation, protect resident privacy, and comply with professional and regulatory requirements.
Requirements
- Licensure: Active Physical Therapy Assistant license in Washington state or eligibility for licensure.
- Education: Associate degree from an accredited PTA program.
- Certification: Basic life support (BLS/CPR) certification.
- Experience: Relevant clinical PTA experience; long-term care or SNF setting experience preferred.
- Competence: Ability to work effectively in a long-term care environment and adapt to a 5x8 schedule.
- Compliance: Eligibility to work in the United States and ability to work the assigned location in Moses Lake, WA.
