Travel Registered Nurse Med Surg Job

Responsibilities
- Monitor and assess medical-surgical patients, including vital signs, pain management, and routine neuro checks
- Administer medications, manage IV therapies, and perform treatments per physician orders
- Document care in the electronic health record; ensure accurate handoffs during shift changes
- Enforce patient safety, infection control, and mobility precautions; respond to acute changes in condition
- Collaborate with physicians, charge nurses, and the interprofessional team to develop and update care plans
- Assist with discharge planning and patient/family education; coordinate with case management as needed
Requirements
- Active RN license in good standing (per state requirements)
- BLS certification (American Heart Association or equivalent)
- Minimum 2 years of Med Surg RN experience
- Ability to work 12-hour day shifts, including seven-day scheduling and 0700–1930 coverage
- Experience in a hospital medical-surgical unit; strong communication and teamwork skills
