Travel Registered Nurse OR Job
Operating Room RN (OR) with orthopedic and neuro OR experience, traveling assignment in Scottsbluff, Nebraska. Start date: 03/20/2026. Duration: 13 weeks. Weekly pay: $2,338–$2,407 per week. Guaranteed hours: 36 per week. Shift: Rotating. This is a hospital-based travel assignment in the operating room environment.

Responsibilities
- Deliver perioperative nursing care for surgical patients in the OR, including patient assessment, positioning, prep, and maintaining sterile technique.
- Support orthopedic and neuro cases, applying Level 1 or Level 2 OR experience as applicable, and assist the surgical team during procedures.
- Monitor patient status intraoperatively, manage anesthesia-related needs, and respond to emergencies with appropriate action.
- Prepare the OR for procedures, verify patient identity and procedure, ensure instrument and equipment readiness, and document intraoperative events.
- Collaborate with the circulating nurse, scrub tech, anesthesia team, and surgeons to promote patient safety, infection control, and accurate counts of instruments and sponges.
- Adhere to policy regarding the on-call schedule: 4x10s on weekends every 4–5 weekends on call, plus one weeknight on call per week.
Requirements
- Active RN license (Nebraska) or eligibility to practice in Nebraska.
- OR experience required with orthopedic and neuro OR exposure (Level 1 or Level 2 experience preferred).
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
- Ability to work in a high-demand OR setting with rotating shifts and on-call responsibilities.
- Education: Graduate of an accredited RN program.
- Strong communication, critical thinking, and teamwork skills; able to adapt to a hospital OR environment and travel schedule.
