Responsibilities
- Provide perioperative nursing care in a General OR setting, supporting orthopedics/spine, neuro, GYN/urology, vascular, thoracic, and other general surgery cases; assist with bariatric and robotic procedures as applicable
- Prepare, instrument, and assist with sterile technique; position patients appropriately and maintain universal protocols
- Collaborate with anesthesia teams, monitor patient status intraoperatively, and perform phlebotomy and IV placement as needed
- Administer blood products when indicated, handle specimens, and ensure accurate intraoperative documentation in EPIC
- Support room turnover, assist with positioning, specimen handling, and patient transfer; participate in call coverage as required
- Adhere to safety, infection control, and patient safety standards; participate in time-out and patient safety checks

Requirements
- Licensure: NY RN license in hand (pending licenses not accepted)
- Certifications: BLS required; CNOR status noted in notes as a potential requirement to be confirmed with account manager
- Experience: Travel RN with prior OR experience; 3 years clinical RN experience preferred (internal notes mention 1 year—final requirement to be confirmed with account manager); travel experience required; unit does not accept first-time travelers
- Charting: EPIC experience required
- Skills: Proficient in phlebotomy and IV placement; able to float to support unit needs; capable of working in a high-volume, diverse surgical setting
- Additional: Da Vinci Xi robotic platform experience noted; not necessarily required unless specified
