Travel Registered Nurse L&D Job
Registered Nurse – Labor and Delivery (L&D) in Coos Bay, Oregon. Start date: 04/21/2026. Contract: 13 weeks. Weekly pay: $1,852-$1,979 per week. Guaranteed hours: 0.0. Shift: 3x12-hour nights. Setting: hospital obstetric service with LDRP responsibilities, including OB triage, outpatient testing, antepartum, intrapartum, postpartum, and nursery care. Note: this role does not circulate or scrub in the OR. Experience with OBIX for fetal surveillance and EPIC for the EHR is highly preferred.

Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care across OB triage, outpatient testing, antepartum, intrapartum, postpartum, and nursery units; manage the OB service within the LDRP scope.
- Monitor fetal status using fetal heart rate monitoring; document assessments and interventions in EPIC; respond to changes using the nursing process.
- Educate patients, families, and support persons about labor progression, postpartum care, newborn care, and breastfeeding support; coordinate care with the interdisciplinary team.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurse clinicians, and ancillary staff to ensure safe, compassionate, and evidence-based care; maintain clear, timely communication.
- Maintain compliance with the Oregon State Board of Nursing scope of practice; ensure accurate charting and documentation in OBIX and EPIC.
- Adhere to unit schedules and shifts; participate in on-going professional practice and quality improvement activities as assigned.
Requirements
- Oregon RN license; license may not need to be active at submission but must be willing to obtain/activate as needed
- 2 years minimum labor and delivery experience with current fetal heart monitoring required
- BLS (AHA) certified; NRP certified
- OBIX and EPIC experience highly preferred
- EFM and STABLE certifications highly preferred
- Submission materials: resume and a skills checklist; willingness to obtain certifications or licensure if not currently active
