Registered Nurse needed for a travel assignment in Med Surg Tele for a small rural hospital-based unit in Middlebury, Vermont. Start date 09/17/2026 for 5 weeks. Weekly pay $2,185–$2,262, with no guaranteed hours. Shift is 12-hour nights (3x12 Nights). This assignment requires an active RN license on file at submission, NIHSS, BLS and ACLS, EPIC experience within the last 2 years, and at least 2 years of Med/Surg Tele experience. The unit supports a 25-bed Medical Surgical Telemetry service with hospitalist coverage and 24/7 lab/x-ray. All travelers must be prepared to meet the unit’s needs and to start within the next week.

Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care for Med/Surg Telemetry patients, including orthopedics, urology, gynecology, and general surgery
- Monitor telemetry and administer medications and treatments per physician orders
- Perform patient assessments, document in EPIC, and communicate changes to the care team
- Collaborate with hospitalists, ancillary services, and the care team to coordinate safe transfers when higher level of care is needed
- Participate in unit-wide initiatives and respond to rapid responses, code events (Code 99), falls, and IV/intravenous therapy support as assigned
- Support progressive care patients when appropriate and assist with discharge planning and education
Requirements
- Active RN license on file at time of submission
- Minimum 2 years of Med/Surg Telemetry experience; progressive care experience preferred
- BLS and ACLS required; NIHSS certification required prior to start
- EPIC experience within the past 2 years
- Travel nursing experience required
- Education: Diploma/Associate/Bachelor’s degree in Nursing from an approved program
- Ability to work 12-hour night shifts; ability to work 2 out of 4 holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, Christmas Eve, New Year’s Day)
