Responsibilities
- Operates CT equipment to produce diagnostic cross-sectional images for radiologist interpretation, adjusting technique, exposure settings, and patient positioning to optimize image quality while ensuring patient safety.
- Performs CT procedures and related imaging, with flexibility to perform general radiography and fluoroscopy as required, maintaining procedural accuracy and workflow efficiency.
- Produces sagittal and coronal reformatted images for interpretation; ensures proper labeling, alignment and image quality across studies.
- Uses PACS and teleradiology systems to transfer DICOM images to the radiology team, verifying patient data and study integrity while complying with HIPAA.
- Maintains complete, accurate records, including procedure logs and billing information; monitors inventory and coordinates with suppliers to ensure imaging supplies are stocked.
- Performs routine maintenance and calibration of imaging equipment and participates in quality assurance activities; capable of starting IVs and working independently when needed.

Requirements
- ARRT-CT certification (R.T. (R)(CT) or ARRT-CT eligible with CT credentials) required.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from an approved vendor.
- At least two years of recent radiologic technology experience.
- Current nursing license per the state of assignment.
- Associate degree in Radiologic Technology preferred; advanced CT certification required in OR and HI; preferred in CA.
