Responsibilities
- Provide skilled hospice nursing care to outpatient and home-based patients, delivering 4–5 visits per day
- Assess patient status, manage symptoms, administer medications, and adjust care plans as directed
- Educate patients and families on disease progression, symptom management, and safety
- Document care in the patient’s chart and communicate updates to the interdisciplinary team
- Coordinate with other care providers and arrange equipment or services as needed
- Travel between patient locations, maintaining safety and professionalism during visits
Requirements
- Licensed Registered Nurse in Massachusetts; MA license must be active at time of submission
- BLS certification required
- Previous hospice nursing experience preferred or demonstrated ability to manage hospice-related tasks
- Ability to perform 4–5 patient visits per day in outpatient/home settings
- Willingness to travel 30–50 miles daily; residents outside a 50-mile radius eligible; local travelers not accepted
- Hours: 8:00 am–4:30 pm, Monday–Friday; shift details align with 5x8 Days
