Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care to adult residents according to the plan of care and facility policies
- Administer prescribed medications and treatments, document administration, and monitor for adverse effects
- Assess residents, record vital signs, intake/output, and changes in condition; promptly report to supervising RN
- Perform routine nursing procedures, assist with activities of daily living, and support wound care as indicated
- Maintain accurate documentation in medical records and ensure compliance with regulatory standards
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team, communicate with residents and families, and participate in care plan updates
Requirements
- Active Licensed Practical Nurse license (state): Maine, in good standing
- Graduation from an approved practical nursing program (diploma or associate degree)
- Ability to work 3x12 night shifts and commit to a 14-week travel assignment starting August 1, 2026
- Prior experience in long-term care or skilled nursing settings preferred
- Strong clinical skills, documentation, and communication; ability to work effectively under supervision and within a team
