Responsibilities
- Provide unit-based leadership, collaborating with the Nurse Manager, Director, physicians, and staff to deliver safe, high-quality care.
- Supervise and direct nursing and ancillary personnel; coordinate care plans and initiate team conferences to revise care plans as needed.
- Direct and monitor patient care activities to ensure safety, quality, and efficient workflow; participate in direct patient care when required.
- Conduct rounds to assess patient needs, engage with patients and families, and solicit feedback to improve the patient experience.
- Develop and implement strategies with leadership to improve patient satisfaction and outcomes; support quality improvement initiatives.
- Ensure accurate documentation in the electronic health record and maintain continuity of care across shifts.

Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse license in California
- Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing required; Master’s Degree preferred
- 5+ years of clinical nursing experience; 2+ years supervisory/charge nurse experience required
- Charge nurse experience is required
- Certifications: BLS required; NRP and ACLS/ALCS required; AHA-ACLS or ARC-ALS required; AHA-NRP or ARC-NALS required; Fetal Heart Monitoring (FHM) required; AWHONN Advanced Fetal Monitoring within last 2 years required
- EPIC electronic health record experience required
- Ability to work in a fast-paced acute care setting and to lead a multidisciplinary team
