Responsibilities
- Perform routine magnetic resonance imaging procedures and contribute to more complex radiographic procedures with assistance.
- Position patients properly, ensure safety protocols, and monitor patient comfort during MRI scans.
- Prepare and maintain imaging equipment, adhere to established policies and procedures, and document procedures accurately.
- Collaborate with the Diagnostic Imaging Director and radiology team to deliver high-quality patient care.
- Provide customer service and patient care in alignment with hospital standards and departmental procedures.
Requirements
- ARRT MRI (MR) registry or ARRT MR eligibility with plan to take and pass MR registry within 6 months of hire
- Washington State Radiologic Technologist license (current)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Cross-sectional anatomy knowledge
- Ability to lift 40 pounds from floor to waist and move 40 pounds six feet; ability to reach overhead while handling up to 25 pounds; ability to assist with patient transfers (wheelchair to bed) and push a loaded stretcher
- Demonstrates good stamina, manual dexterity, and sound clinical judgment in radiologic procedures
