Travel Registered Nurse Med Surg Job
Registered Nurse - Medical / Surgical on a travel assignment in Atlanta, GA. Med Surg specialty with a start date of April 6, 2026 for an 8-week assignment. Weekly pay ranges from $1,567 to $1,623 per week, with guaranteed hours of 36 per week. Shift is 2x3 Nights. This is a hospital-based, high-acuity med-surg/trauma floor role that requires EPIC EMR experience and works with a spine/neuro trauma surgical patient population.

Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care for high-acuity med-surg/trauma patients, including spinal neuro trauma and complex injuries
- Assess, monitor, and document patient status; administer medications and therapies, including IV treatments and wound care
- Respond to clinical events, manage pain and hemodynamic changes, and implement protocols for safety and infection control
- Perform accurate handoffs at shift change to ED nursing and admitting unit teams; collaborate with Nursing Support Technicians, unit clerks, and other allied staff
- Utilize EPIC for documentation, orders, and communication; maintain compliance with hospital policies
- Ensure patient safety and advocate for patient and family needs; adhere to shift requirements and absence policies
Requirements
- Current Georgia RN license in good standing
- BLS certification required; ACLS certification preferred
- Minimum 2 years of RN experience in a high-acuity med-surg/trauma setting
- EPIC EMR experience required
- Ability to work night shifts on a high-acuity floor; willing to work assigned shifts with no block scheduling
- Comfortable caring for spinal neuro trauma surgical patients (e.g., trauma, complex injuries)
