Travel Registered Nurse PCU Job
Registered Nurse – PCU/Telemetry, Travel assignment in Burlington, VT. Start date 04/20/2026 for 16 weeks. 3x12 hour rotating shifts. Weekly pay range: $2,377 per week to $2,568 per week. Guaranteed hours: none. You’ll work in a high-volume, cardiology-focused PCU/Telemetry setting with EPIC EMR. Prior travel experience is preferred but not required; NIHSS, ACLS, and BLS are required, with NIHSS due prior to start.

Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care for telemetry/PCU cardiology patients, including post-catheterization, post-stent, and structural heart cases
- Monitor patient status, interpret vital signs, manage alarms, and respond to changes in condition promptly
- Administer medications and IV therapies per protocol; document interventions in EPIC EMR
- Conduct routine and focused assessments; develop and participate in care plans; educate patients and families about diagnoses, procedures, and discharge plans
- Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team; participate in rounds and ensure safe handoffs during shift changes
- Maintain compliance with stroke protocols (NIHSS), BLS, ACLS, and other applicable standards; float to other units within the Central Pool PCU as needed
Requirements
- 2+ years of PCU/Telemetry or cardiology nursing experience, with exposure to post-catheterization, STEMI, and structural heart patients
- NIHSS certification required prior to start; BLS and ACLS required
- EPIC EMR experience within the past 2 years
- Active RN license (state not specified in posting); ability to practice in the listed setting
- Able to work 3x12 hour rotating shifts and flexible scheduling; willing to float to other units within the PCU/Central Pool as needed
- Strong assessment skills, critical thinking, and effective communication with patients, families, and the care team
