Registered Nurse – Emergency Department (Charge) in a hospital setting, located in Penn Yan, New York. This travel assignment starts on 07/20/2026 and runs for 14 weeks. Responsibilities
- Deliver direct patient care in the Emergency Department, including assessment, triage, monitoring, and treatment planning
- Perform primary and secondary assessments, identify urgent/emergent priorities, and implement appropriate interventions
- Administer medications, initiate treatments, and support invasive/non-invasive procedures as permitted by scope of practice
- Collaborate with physicians, unit staff, and multidisciplinary teams to develop and execute patient care plans
- Educate patients and families, provide discharge instructions, and coordinate post-emergency care
- Uphold infection prevention measures, safety protocols, and relationship-based care to alleviate anxiety and improve patient experience
Requirements
- Active New York State RN licensure
- Minimum 2 years ED acute care nursing experience
- BLS, ACLS, PALS, Stroke Certification (AHA or RQI)
- Eligible to work in a hospital ED setting and to participate in rotating shifts (including nights and holidays)
- Education: Graduate of an approved nursing program (RN)
