Travel Registered Nurse L&D Job
Registered Nurse - L&D travel assignment in Templeton, California. Start date: 08/17/2026. Duration: 8 weeks. 36 hours per week guaranteed. Shift: Nights, 12-hour shifts (3x12). Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care to obstetric patients, including labor and delivery monitoring, fetal status assessment, Maternal-Fetal Medicine considerations, pain management, and postpartum care.
- Assist with, and where appropriate perform, obstetric procedures and deliveries under physician supervision; respond to obstetric emergencies with rapid, patient-centered action.
- Administer medications per orders, monitor for adverse effects, and manage routine postpartum care and newborn stabilization as needed.
- Document clinical data accurately in the Epic EMR; communicate effectively with the multidisciplinary team and educate patients and families about care plans.
- Collaborate with anesthesia, neonatology, and nursing teams to ensure patient safety, comfort, and positive outcomes for mother and newborn.
- Maintain compliance with hospital policies, infection control practices, and patient safety standards in a fast-paced obstetric environment.
Requirements
- Active RN license to practice in California
- CPR/BLS certification
- Recent obstetric/L&D nursing experience preferred
- Proficiency with Epic EMR or willingness to learn
- Ability to work nights and 12-hour shifts in a hospital setting
- Strong communication and teamwork skills to support obstetric care teams
