Travel Registered Nurse Med Surg Job
Registered Nurse – Med Surg (Travel) in Utica, New York. This travel assignment starts 06/15/2026 for approximately 13 weeks, with guaranteed 36 hours per week. Shift is 2x3 Nights in a hospital setting. Weekly pay ranges from $2,206 to $2,245 per week. The unit is a 56-bed Med Surg/Oncology/Hematology/allied-care focused scope, with a mix of adult patients and common diagnoses across oncology, hematology, nephrology, endocrine, GI, dermatology, and general medicine.

Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care to adult patients on the Med Surg unit with oncology/hematology and related specialty care needs
- Administer medications and IV infusions, including chemotherapy per protocol, and monitor for adverse reactions
- Perform ongoing patient assessments, interpret clinical data, and respond to changes in condition promptly
- Collaborate with physicians, wound care, pharmacy, and other disciplines; document care and progress in EPIC EMR
- Manage safety and infection control practices; assist with discharge planning and patient education
- Float to related units as needed to maintain unit coverage and patient safety
Requirements
- Active NY RN license (NURSYS verification)
- 2+ years of experience in Med Surg/Oncology
- TRAVEL EXPERIENCE REQUIRED; local candidates within 75 miles may qualify for the local rate
- Certifications: Current AHA BLS, NIHSS, and Chemo Certification required
- EMR experience: EPIC
- Driver’s license with address matching demographics
- RTO must be included at time of submission
- Ability to work on a 56-bed adult inpatient unit and float as needed
Education
- Registered Nurse (RN) with current New York licensure
