Travel Occupational Therapist Acute Care Job
Occupational Therapist, Acute Care, based in Cumming, Georgia, United States. Start date 07/27/2026 for a 13-week travel assignment. Weekly pay range $2,151–$2,292 per week with guaranteed hours of 40 per week. Shift is 8x5 Days in an acute care–level setting. This travel position is for a temporary assignment in a clinic-equivalent, acute care environment.

Responsibilities
- Conduct occupational therapy evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans for patients within the acute care setting.
- Deliver targeted OT interventions to maximize independence in activities of daily living and functional mobility.
- Address mobility, safety training, ADLs, and discharge planning in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team.
- Document patient progress, adjust treatment plans as patient status changes, and ensure timely assessment updates.
- Educate patients and families on home exercise programs, adaptive equipment, and safety considerations for discharge.
- Participate in care coordination and discharge planning with nursing, physical therapy, speech-language pathology, and social work as needed.
Requirements
- Active Georgia OT license or eligibility for licensure in Georgia.
- Master’s or Doctorate degree in Occupational Therapy from an ACOTE-accredited program.
- NBCOT certification or eligibility.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced acute care environment and fulfill a 40-hour-per-week schedule on a 13-week travel assignment.
- Schedule details: 8:00 a.m.–4:30 p.m.; 4 weekend shifts per 4 weeks; 1 summer holiday.
- No local candidates within 50 miles; willingness to travel for the assignment.
- Ability to pass background checks and drug screening; strong communication and teamwork skills.
