Charge Nurse, Registered Nurse (Charge) – Bangor, Maine. This travel assignment begins 05/18/2026 and runs for 13 weeks with a guaranteed 36 hours per week. Compensation is $1,846 to $1,898 per week. Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care for an assigned group of residents during the duty period, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care plans
- Coordinate and direct total nursing care on the unit, acting as a resource for staff and a backup administrative support in the absence of the Director of Nursing
- Lead and supervise licensed and ancillary staff; assign tasks, ensure staffing coverage, and promote patient safety and quality of care
- Participate in resident/family teaching and discharge planning; collaborate with interdisciplinary team to meet established facility policies and standards
- Maintain resident privacy and confidentiality; document care and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
- Uphold Covenant Health Mission principles in daily practice and support quality improvement initiatives
Requirements
- Active RN license in the State of Maine or a Compact state
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
- BLS certification required
- Minimum of 3 years nursing experience, with prior long-term care experience preferred
- Ability to perform in a 12-hour shift schedule and work within a long-term care setting
- Must reside 50+ miles from the assignment location; credentialing and verification handled by Medefis
