Travel Registered Nurse Tele Job
Registered Nurse – Telemetry (Travel) in Olathe, Kansas. Start date: 08/02/2026. Contract length: 13 weeks. Weekly pay: $1,954–$2,134 per week. Shift: 3x12-hour Nights. Setting: Short Term Acute Care Hospital. This travel - temporary assignment is managed by Healthforce Healthcare LLC. There are no guaranteed hours.

Responsibilities
- Provide direct care to adult telemetry/Med-Surg patients, including post-op care for General Surgery, Bariatric, Gynecologic, Urology, and Orthopedic cases; monitor and respond to telemetry alarms.
- Administer medications and therapies per orders, including heparin drips, TPN, and PCAs; ensure accurate dosing and documentation.
- Perform comprehensive nursing assessments, develop and adjust care plans, and document in the EPIC electronic medical record.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other care team members to coordinate care, discharge planning, and patient education.
- Maintain patient safety, infection control, and adherence to unit policies; effectively communicate patient status during handoffs and rounds.
- Demonstrate competency in telemetry rhythm interpretation and respond to rhythm changes or emergencies as needed.
Requirements
- Active Kansas RN license or Compact RN license; current BLS required.
- Minimum 2 years of recent Med/Surg hospital experience within the last 18 months.
- Experience in General Surgery, Bariatric, Gynecologic, Urology, Orthopedics; able to manage diagnoses such as cellulitis, back pain, kidney stones.
- Experience with heparin drips, TPN, PCAs; ability to measure and interpret telemetry rhythms.
- Floating to all acute care units as needed; every other weekend required; holidays per unit needs; on-call not required.
- Credentialing requirements: CBC, DS (drug screen), and labs must be completed within 72 hours of offer acceptance.
- Orientation: 8 hours non-billable; EPIC EMR experience preferred.
- Nicotine-free facility note: facility maintains a nicotine-free environment.
