Responsibilities
- Provide respiratory care to patients, including invasive and noninvasive ventilation management per physician orders
- Monitor ventilator status, adjust settings, perform weaning protocols, and respond to changes in patient condition
- Assist with bronchial hygiene therapy and airway clearance; manage airway devices as needed
- Support colleagues with bronchoscopy-related procedures; operate or assist with ventilation equipment as assigned
- Maintain accurate documentation in the electronic medical record (Epic) and communicate patient status to the care team
- Participate in transport and floor-to-unit care coordination; ensure safe patient handoffs and adherence to airway management protocols
Requirements
- Active Florida license as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) and RRT credential
- BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required
- Minimum 2 years of RRT experience; prior travel experience preferred
- Proficiency in invasive and noninvasive ventilation management; comfortable with bronchial assist; familiarity with ventilator models is a plus
- EMR experience (Epic preferred)
- Willingness to float to other units and sister campuses within a 50-mile radius; ability to work in a fast-paced hospital environment
- Submission requires complete demographic information at start (address, email, full date of birth, full SSN, RN license number)
