Responsibilities
- Provide unit-based leadership, collaborating with the Nurse Manager/Director, physicians, and staff to plan and implement care.
- Supervise and direct nursing and ancillary personnel, ensuring safe, cost-effective, and high-quality patient care.
- Conduct rounds, participate in/lead conferences with health team members, patients, and families to develop and revise individualized care plans.
- Monitor care delivery, intervene as needed, and coordinate care across the continuum to optimize patient outcomes and satisfaction.
- Foster patient- and family-centered care with attention to cultural diversity and individual preferences.
- Promote quality improvement efforts, gather feedback, and pursue strategies to improve patient experience and staff performance. No on-call duties are required for this role.

Requirements
- Active RN license in the state of practice (required)
- AHA-BLS or ARC-BLS certification (required)
- AHA-ACLS or ARC-ALS certification (required)
- Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) certification (required)
- Bachelor’s Degree in nursing or equivalent combination of education/related experience (required)
- Master’s Degree (preferred)
- Five years of technical nursing experience (preferred)
- Supervisory experience or demonstrated supervisory skills (required)
- At least two years of recent nursing experience in the field (required)
- Current CPR/BLS as defined by AH policy; ability to work in a leadership role on the unit
