MRI Technologist (MRI Tech) – Travel assignment in Rochester, New York, United States

This travel assignment requires an MRI technologist who will begin with full-time hours for the first two weeks (approximately 40 hours per week) before transitioning to a solo weekend shift schedule. Weekend coverage is planned as two 12-hour shifts on Saturdays and Sundays (7:00 am–7:30 pm). Flexibility for day and/or evening orientation shifts is possible during the initial period.

Responsibilities
- Perform MRI examinations using GE or Siemens scanners, including non-contrast exams, routine MSK, neuro, spine, and occasional body MRI
- Prepare patients for scans, explain procedures, and position patients to optimize image quality
- Maintain a clean, safe scanning facility and adhere to infection control and safety protocols
- Monitor patients during imaging, assess for contraindications, and respond to any adverse events
- Coordinate with physicians and radiologists to ensure timely delivery and accuracy of diagnostic images
- Document all procedures accurately while maintaining patient confidentiality and compliance with policies
- Assist with basic patient care tasks as needed and support the workflow of the imaging team
Requirements
- Associate degree in Magnetic Resonance Imaging or Radiology
- Two (2) years of MRI experience
- BLS certification (American Heart Association)
- Must have experience with GE or Siemens MRI scanners
- Certification through the ARRT or a similar organization is preferred; candidate must be willing to obtain this credential after starting
- Ability to work in a fast-paced clinical setting and stand for extended periods
- Strong patient communication skills and familiarity with medical terminology
