Registered Nurse – Labor and Delivery (L&D) in San Luis Obispo, California. This travel assignment starts 05/26/2026 for 13 weeks. Weekly pay ranges from $2,559 to $2,628 per week, with no guaranteed hours. Shifts are 5x8 days (day shifts). Setting: Short Term Acute Care Hospital.

Responsibilities
- Provide obstetric and neonatal care in labor and delivery, including ongoing maternal assessment and fetal surveillance.
- Support labor progress, assist with vaginal deliveries, and participate in cesarean deliveries as needed.
- Administer medications and interventions per orders (e.g., analgesia, oxytocics) and monitor for adverse effects.
- Maintain sterile technique, infection control, and accurate documentation in the electronic health record; communicate updates to the care team.
- Prepare and assist with emergent obstetric situations, collaborate with physicians, anesthesiologists, and neonatal staff; participate in postpartum and newborn care as appropriate.
- On-call responsibilities required; call is expected at least twice per week and every 3rd weekend per unit policy.
Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse license in the state of practice (California)
- BLS certification (AHA-BLS or ARC-BLS) required
- PALS certification: preferred
- CNOR certification: preferred
- RNFA: minimum 2 years of experience; experience in primary spine, orthopedic, and robot-assisted surgeries
- Ability to work in a hospital obstetric setting and meet on-call requirements
