Responsibilities
- Provide quality nursing care within the scope of practice for LPNs/LVNs
- Monitor and document patient vital signs, symptoms, and progress
- Administer medications and treatments as ordered, following safety and regulatory guidelines
- Assist patients with activities of daily living, ensuring dignity and rights are maintained
- Collaborate with registered nurses, physicians, and other health professionals to develop and adjust care plans
- Maintain accurate charting, perform basic procedures, and respond to changes in patient condition
- Adhere to infection control standards and safety policies; participate in competency demonstrations as required
Requirements
- Current Alaska LPN license in good standing
- Education: Graduate from an LPN/LVN program
- Certifications: Current CPR/BLS required; IV certification course completion preferred
- Experience: New graduates accepted; one year hospital or long-term care experience preferred
- Vaccination: Proof of completed COVID-19 vaccination required
- Ability to work in a hospital-based setting and support long-term care patient care
- Must be able to meet assignment-specific competencies and maintain licensure
