Travel Registered Nurse ICU Job
Registered Nurse – ICU travel assignment in Massachusetts, United States. Start date: May 4, 2026. Duration: 8 weeks. Weekly pay: $2,302–$2,416 per week. Guaranteed hours: 72 hours biweekly. Shift: 12-hour nights (3x12 nights) with rotating weekends and holidays. Setting: hospital-level critical care unit with 24-hour intensivist coverage for adult and geriatric medical and/or surgical patients. Responsibilities
- Provide direct bedside care for adult and geriatric ICU patients, including ventilator management and sedation titration.
- Monitor hemodynamics, interpret cardiac rhythms, and manage vasoactive infusions as indicated.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team, including intensivists, for care planning and daily rounds; document assessments and outcomes.
- Recognize and respond to acute changes in patient conditions; participate in code/rapid response activities as needed.
- Ensure adherence to infection control practices, medication safety, and protocol-driven care; support post-STEMI and other complex cardiopulmonary care pathways.
- Complete all required documentation and equipment checks; maintain readiness for handoffs during shift changes.
Requirements
- Current Massachusetts RN license required at submission
- ACLS and BLS certification required; CCRN preferred
- Minimum of 2 years ICU experience; demonstrated competency in ventilator management, vasoactive titration, hemodynamic monitoring, and arrhythmia management
- Ability to work 12-hour night shifts with rotating weekends/holidays
- Must reside more than 50 miles from the assignment facility; no local travelers accepted
- Pass/Fail testing for telemetry/ECG and medications required prior to acceptance
- Must be separated from the former affiliated system for 6+ months and in good standing to be considered
- Start date: ASAP to interview and offer; formal start on May 4, 2026
- 8-week assignment with 72 biweekly hours guaranteed (per contract notes)
