Travel Pathology Assistant Job
Pathology Assistant – Cambridge, MA. Start date 05/18/2026 for a 13-week travel assignment in a laboratory setting that supports patient care across a network of facilities. Weekly pay range: $1,370–$1,458. Guaranteed hours: 40 per week. Shift: 3:00 PM–11:00 PM (evening), 8 hours per day, Monday–Friday with weekend rotations. This role participates in a network that provides high-quality diagnostic services across multiple sites; the work environment is a clinical laboratory setting focused on supporting accurate and timely patient care.

Responsibilities
- Perform routine laboratory procedures under supervision, following established procedures and quality controls to support accurate results.
- Process and prepare specimens for testing, including basic specimen handling and data entry to maintain specimen integrity.
- Operate standard laboratory equipment and monitor instrumentation for proper function and quality control indicators.
- Enter and review data in the electronic medical record (EPIC) as applicable, ensuring accurate and timely documentation of results.
- Communicate effectively with providers, patients, and laboratory staff to maintain smooth workflow and timely turnaround times.
- Adhere to safety, infection control, and regulatory requirements to maintain a compliant laboratory environment.
Requirements
- Education: High School Diploma or GED (minimum)
- Experience: 2+ years of experience in the specialty; phlebotomy training and experience preferred
- Certifications: Current AHA BLS certification
- EMR experience: EPIC experience preferred
- Licenses/IDs: Driver’s license with address that matches demographics
- Submission requirements: RTO must be included at time of submission
