Travel Registered Nurse ER Job
Registered Nurse – Emergency Department travel assignment in Utica, New York. Start date 08/10/2026 for 13 weeks. Weekly pay $2,023–$2,123 per week. Guaranteed hours 36 per week. Shift: Nights (14:30–03:00) on a 2x3 schedule. Work setting: hospital-based emergency department. This position requires ED experience and active NY licensure, with documented travel experience.

Responsibilities
- Provide direct clinical care in the ED, including initial assessment, triage, continuous monitoring, and documentation of patient status.
- Administer medications, IV therapy, and support resuscitation and stabilizing interventions as needed; assist physicians with procedures.
- Monitor for changes in patient condition, respond to emergencies, and implement evidence-based protocols; escalate to the appropriate provider as required.
- Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to coordinate patient flow, discharge planning, and patient and family education.
- Document assessments, interventions, and outcomes in the EMR (EPIC); ensure accuracy and compliance with HCP guidelines.
- Maintain safety and comfort for pediatric and adult patients; contribute to a high-acuity, fast-paced environment with effective communication.
Requirements
- Active New York RN license with NURSYS verification
- 3+ years of ED nursing experience; some pediatric exposure preferred
- Documentation of travel experience; must live 75+ miles away from the facility (travel will take locals; local rate available for those within 75 miles)
- Current AHA/ACLS, BLS, PALS, NIHSS, and TNCC certifications
- EMR experience required: EPIC
- Driver’s license with address matching demographics; skills checklist as appropriate
- Floating capability to coverage areas within the ED as needed
- RTO (time off) requests must be included at the time of submission
