Responsibilities
- Perform interventional radiology procedures and cardiac/vascular radiographic exams under physician supervision.
- Operate fluoroscopy and imaging equipment to produce diagnostic images during cardiovascular procedures.
- Position and immobilize patients, monitor during procedures, and ensure patient safety and comfort.
- Assist physicians with specialized cardiovascular procedures, including catheterizations and other image-guided interventions.
- Maintain equipment, document procedures, and adhere to sterile technique and radiation safety guidelines.
- Collaborate with the care team, provide guidance to junior staff, and support quality and safety initiatives.
Requirements
- Active radiologic technologist (RT) license in the state of practice (California) is required.
- ARRT certification: Preferred.
- BLS/CPR certification from an approved vendor: Required.
- Fluoroscopy (FLUORO) certification: Required.
- PVMB/TEAM or CPI or equivalent violence prevention training: Required.
- At least two years of recent experience in the field; experience as a Special Procedures Technologist is preferred.
- Associate’s Degree in Radiologic Technology (Bachelor’s Degree preferred).
- Ability to work in a home healthcare - hospice setting and to perform 12-hour night shifts.
