Travel Registered Nurse LTC Job
Registered Nurse – Long-Term Care (LTC) travel assignment in Lewiston, ME. Start date: May 26, 2026. Duration: 13 weeks. Weekly pay: $1,900–$1,979 per week. Guaranteed hours: 0.0. Shift: Nights, 3x12 (7:00 pm–7:30 am). Setting: hospital with multiple care units, including 3 East (Alzheimer’s/dementia care), 2nd-floor Transitional Rehabilitation Unit (short-term rehab), and 3 West (long-term care). This travel opportunity requires residency outside a 50-mile radius of the assignment location. The hosting facility reserves the right to cancel up to 3 shifts during the 13-week contract.

Responsibilities
- Provide direct and indirect nursing care to residents on assigned units, including assessments, monitoring, and documentation
- Administer medications and perform IV therapy, wound care, and geriatric assessment as appropriate
- Implement and update individualized care plans in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team
- Communicate clearly with residents, families, and care providers; use verbal and non-verbal techniques to support residents with Alzheimer's/dementia
- Recognize changes in patient condition; respond promptly to emergencies and escalate as needed
- Maintain safety, comfort, and quality of care in a home-like environment; assist with activity of daily living as required
- Participate in unit rounding, care coordination, and post-discharge planning as applicable
- May be required to float to other units to meet patient care needs
Requirements
- Education: Associate degree in Nursing (ADN)
- Licensure: Valid State of Maine RN license or compact/Maine-licensure eligible; licensure in good standing; note: candidates with licensure hits will not be considered
- Experience: 1–3 years of RN experience preferred
- Certifications/skills: Medical terminology preferred; strong teamwork and communication skills
- Mobility: Flexibility to cover 24/7 operations and to float to other units as needed
- Residency: Candidate must reside outside of a 50-mile radius of the assignment location
