Responsibilities
- Administer ionizing irradiation to patients in accordance with prescriptions and instructions from department physicians.
- Position patients and verify treatment parameters to ensure accurate delivery of therapy.
- Adhere to radiation safety protocols, verify patient identity, and monitor for safety throughout treatment.
- Document treatment delivered, monitor patient response, and communicate with the radiation oncology team regarding plan adherence or adjustments.
- Collaborate with physicians, dosimetrists, and support staff to optimize patient care and workflow.
- Report equipment concerns and participate in ongoing quality and safety checks as directed.
Requirements
