Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care to Med/Surg patients on a 30-bed unit with a 5-6:1 patient ratio
- Monitor patient status, perform head-to-toe assessments, and implement care plans
- Administer medications, IV therapies, and wound care per physician orders
- Document nursing care and ensure accurate charting in the electronic medical record
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team for safe patient transitions and discharge planning
- Maintain clinical readiness and adhere to unit policies during the assignment
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of Med/Surg experience in a level 1 trauma or mid-large hospital setting
- BLS certification required; ACLS certification preferred
- Ability to work night shifts (12-hour nights) on a 30-bed Med/Surg unit with a 5-6:1 patient ratio
- Availability to start 11/16/2026 for a 13-week travel assignment
- No RTO (time off requests) during the assignment
