Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive infusion nursing care for patients receiving specialty IV therapies, monitoring for reactions and adverse effects
- Administer IV fluids and medications per order sets, ensuring correct dosing and infusion rates
- Review orders, coordinate with referring providers, oncologists, and pharmacy to ensure a complete circle of care
- Maintain and document patient information in the medical record; communicate results and status to the care team
- Assist with supervision of clinic staff and support efficient infusion workflow and resource use
- Educate patients and families about treatment plans, post-discharge care, and safety considerations
- Maintain IV access devices (catheters, access ports) per standards and facility guidelines; manage infection control and safety practices
- Participate in ongoing professional development, licensure maintenance, and quality improvement activities

Requirements
- Current, unrestricted RN license in Alaska (or eligibility with completion of licensure before start date; agency staff must have an active Alaska license)
- BLS and ACLS certifications
- Minimum 1 year of clinical nursing experience with immunotherapy/chemotherapy or infusion-related care (oncology experience preferred)
- Ability to operate infusion pumps, monitors, and related IV equipment; proficient with electronic health records
- Knowledge of pharmacology of infusion medications and infection control practices
- Flu vaccination required prior to start; fingerprint/background processing required with start date contingent on clearance
- Education: completion of a nursing program leading to RN licensure (high school diploma or equivalent; Alaska licensure requirements described above)
- Ability to work in an infusion service within an acute care setting and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team
