Responsibilities
- Deliver prescribed radiation therapy treatments to patients following established protocols and treatment plans
- Operate and monitor radiation therapy equipment and related imaging devices, ensuring proper calibration and safety
- Collaborate with radiation oncologists, medical physicists, and dosimetrists to implement treatment plans
- Verify patient identity, treatment site, and informed consent; document sessions and patient responses accurately
- Monitor patients for acute reactions and coordinate with the care team to manage side effects
- Maintain infection control, radiation safety standards, and compliance with regulatory requirements
Requirements
- Active ARRT-Radiation Therapy certification (ARRT-T) required
- Therapeutic Radiologic Technology Certification (TRT) required
- CPR or BLS certification preferred
- Fluoroscopy Permit from the state of practice (Department of Health Services) preferred
- Ability to work in an outpatient clinical setting and collaborate with an interdisciplinary team
