Travel Registered Nurse OR Job
Registered Nurse – OR travel assignment in Chico, California, starting 07/06/2026 for 13 weeks in an acute care hospital setting with operating room coverage. Weekly pay range is $2,636–$2,794 per week, with guaranteed 40 hours per week. Shift: 5x8 rotating. This assignment requires California RN licensure, OR experience, and Epic EHR proficiency. May float to main OR when needed.

Responsibilities
- Provide perioperative nursing care for patients undergoing surgical procedures in the OR and EOC outpatient surgery, including preoperative, intraoperative, and postoperative phases.
- Maintain sterile technique, support the surgical team, and ensure patient safety and comfort throughout procedures.
- Monitor patient status, manage intraoperative hemodynamics, and administer medications as directed by protocols and physician orders.
- May float to the main OR when needed, collaborating with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and circulating staff to cover priority cases.
- Document care and events accurately in the Epic EHR; communicate changes in patient condition to the team.
- Adhere to infection control, safety standards, and unit policies to maintain high-quality perioperative care.
Requirements
- Active RN license in California (Current licensure with the California Board of Registered Nursing)
- Minimum 2 years of recent OR experience
- Current BLS certification; EPIC experience required
- ACLS and PALS preferred
- Ability to work in a dynamic OR environment and, if needed, float to main OR
- Must have successfully completed prior travel assignments and be able to meet agency requirements
