Responsibilities
- Deliver coordinated nursing care for a patient or an assigned group of patients according to established standards of care and the nursing process.
- Assess patient needs, develop and implement care plans, administer medications, and monitor responses.
- Supervise and direct activities of various levels of assigned nursing staff.
- Coordinate care with other disciplines while utilizing critical thinking, professional and supervisory discretion, and independent judgment.
- Document care accurately and ensure patient safety, quality outcomes, and compliance with regulatory standards.
Requirements
- Active RN license (California) or applicable licensure to practice in the listed location.
- Oncology nursing experience or high-acuity inpatient care experience preferred.
- Ability to work 12-hour night shifts on a 3x12 schedule.
- Demonstrated ability to apply critical thinking, professional judgment, and supervisory skills in nursing practice.
- Eligible for a travel assignment and able to work in the specified inpatient oncology setting.
