Responsibilities
- Perform clinical assessment and determine appropriateness of care; develop, implement, and evaluate a Plan of Care; document progress and updates regularly.
- Assess range of motion, strength, coordination, adaptive equipment needs, and environmental modifications; facilitate functional mobility and safety for activities of daily living; fabricate and maintain adaptive equipment and hand splints as needed.
- Evaluate occupational performance in self-care, work, leisure, and rest; consider sensory‑motor, psycho-social, and cognitive-perceptual components influencing daily activity.
- Apply infection control and universal precautions; maintain accurate clinical documentation, including plans of care, progress notes, and related records.
- Collaborate with physicians and an interdisciplinary team; communicate patient status and care needs while protecting patient confidentiality; participate in care planning discussions.
- Troubleshoot and perform basic maintenance on occupational therapy equipment; support ongoing education for patients and families.
Requirements
- Current Colorado state license as an Occupational Therapist – Required
- CPR certification – Required
- Current driver's license – Required
- Reliable transportation and insurance – Required
- Two years of experience as an Occupational Therapist in an acute care or rehabilitation setting – Required
- Bachelor of Science degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program – Required
- Ability to travel locally and work flexible scheduling as part of a travel assignment
