Travel Physical Therapist Job
Physical Therapist travel assignment in Marysville, California. Start date: 04/20/2026 for a 13-week contract in a Skilled Nursing Facility. Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive assessments of patients’ physical abilities, movement limitations, and pain levels
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on evaluations, medical history, and patient goals
- Deliver evidence-based physical therapy interventions to improve strength, balance, coordination, and mobility
- Collaborate with physicians, nursing staff, occupational and speech therapists, and family members to coordinate care
- Monitor patient progress, adjust therapy plans as needed, and document care in accordance with state and federal guidelines
- Educate patients and caregivers on safe mobility techniques, home exercise programs, and equipment use
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements including Medicare/Medicaid documentation and facility policies
- Supervise physical therapist assistants and aides as needed
- Maintain a safe and clean work environment
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy program
- Current California license to practice as a Physical Therapist (PT)
- CPR certification (required or preferred depending on facility)
- Experience in a SNF or geriatric rehab setting preferred
- Excellent communication, documentation, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
