Responsibilities
- Operate diagnostic imaging equipment to produce cardiovascular radiographs, including angiographic studies, during interventional procedures
- Assist physicians with specialized interventional procedures in the cardiovascular laboratory
- Position and immobilize patients, ensure image quality and patient safety; provide patient care during procedures
- Produce and review digital radiographs per physician orders; maintain equipment and room readiness
- Mentor and train staff on technical skills; contribute input on staff development and performance
- Demonstrate critical thinking, efficiency, and effective communication in a fast-paced clinical setting
Requirements
- Current radiologic technologist license in the state of practice (or ARRT certification with valid state licensure) and current nursing license per state of assignment
- Fluoroscopy (FLUORO) certification
- BLS/CPR certification from an approved vendor per policy
- Hospital Fire and Life Safety (HLFS) certification and PVMB/TEAM/CPI or equivalent training
- Minimum two years of recent experience in interventional radiology or related field
- Education: Associate degree in radiologic technology; Bachelor's degree preferred
